Council asked procedural questions about how motels and similar lodging are treated; staff replied that motels are collected under business licensing. Council also confirmed inspection reports are placed on the property file and that the inspection sheet is publicly available on the town’s website. Christine moved adoption; Tony seconded. The ordinance was adopted by roll call (recorded as unanimous on the meeting record).
The ordinance takes effect per standard town procedures following adoption; staff will apply the updated fee schedule to residential rental inspections going forward.
