Supervisors approve $200,000 contract amendment to stabilize soils at basketball-court site

He said Webb Development agreed to perform the full site stabilization and that another contractor, Colter, would proceed with its portion of the work after the stabilization is complete.
A supervisor who represented the project district said the county likely should have done more preconstruction site investigation and moved the amendment, describing the work as an unexpected but necessary expense. The same supervisor made a motion to accept the amendment; a second was recorded but not attributed by name in the transcript.
The board voted unanimously on a roll call: Casey M. Dooley — aye; Mark E. Moore — aye; Mister Chavis — aye; Brenda Ebron Bonner — aye; Daniel D. Lee — aye. The motion passed and the amendment was approved.
