The Carroll County Board of Supervisors opened and closed public hearings April 28 on the school board budget and the county budget after no one signed up to speak.
"Open the public hearing at 6:01 for the school board budget," the presiding member announced; after noting that no one had signed up to speak the board closed that hearing. The board then opened the county budget public hearing at about 6:02 and closed it shortly afterward for the same reason.
No public comments were recorded in the transcript for either hearing. The board proceeded to other agenda items, including a vote to change the location of its next regular meeting because of ongoing courthouse chiller replacement work.
