West Carrollton council approves bond anticipation notes, real-estate acquisition notes and county solid-waste plan

West Carrollton City Council members voted unanimously to adopt three emergency ordinances authorizing short-term borrowing and to approve the Montgomery County solid-waste management plan during the council’s regular meeting.

The votes came after brief presentations by city staff explaining the purpose and timing of the financings and the statutory requirement to act on the county plan.

Ordinance 3798 authorized the issuance of up to $2,800,000 in general obligation bond anticipation notes for infrastructure improvements in the city’s River District, and was placed on the agenda for adoption as an emergency to allow the city to secure interest rates and complete closing documents before a renewal date.
