The Connecticut Board of Examiners for Nursing approved a consent order on May 20 placing a formal reprimand on Ashley T. Bergman, RN, after the department said she failed to report out-of-state discipline within the required 30 days.
Attorney Julianne Gutia presented the department's summary. Gutia told the board that Bergman was disciplined in Ohio in July 2024, received a $500 fine and was required to complete 8.5 hours of continuing education related to the matter. "She failed to report the discipline within 30 days as required by Connecticut general statute 19 a 12 e," Gutia said; the department recommended the formal reprimand as the remedy.
Cindy Arpin moved to accept the consent order; Elizabeth Rivera Rodriguez seconded. On roll call, the board recorded four votes in favor and one abstention; the motion passed and the reprimand was entered as presented. The board noted the reprimand and supporting documentation had been provided in the board packet and that the action satisfies state reporting requirements for out-of-state discipline.
The transcript shows no further sanctions beyond the reprimand and required continuing education; the department did not recommend additional probationary monitoring.
