Belton council adopts consent agenda including hazard mitigation plan, façade grants and ETJ release

At its April 20 meeting, the Belton City Council approved the consent agenda (items 3–8) by a single motion, passing the items unanimously.
The consent agenda included: adoption of the municipal meeting minutes; adoption of the Bell County Hazard Mitigation Plan for 2025; approval of façade improvement grant applications for exterior renovations at 106 North Main and at 213 East Central (properties in the Downtown Belton Commercial Historic District); a resolution authorizing the release from the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of approximately 15.6 acres owned by Mistex Investments LLC (a portion of a 235.3‑acre tract recorded in county documents, generally west of Interstate 35 and south of FM 2484); and approval of a preliminary plat for River Farms Phase 1A, approximately 21.1 acres east of I‑35 on Toll Bridge Road north of the Lampasas River in Belton’s ETJ.
A councilmember moved to approve items 3 through 8 and the council voted unanimously to adopt the consent agenda.
Staff noted property notifications had been sent for items requiring public notice and that grant and plat approvals carry standard conditions for permitting and historic‑district compliance where applicable.
