Votes at a glance: consent items approved; Walker Partners professional services agreement authorized

At its April 1 meeting the Buda City Council approved a slate of routine consent items and took separate action on a professional services agreement for a reuse waterline project.

Consent agenda: Council approved the following five consent items by motion: (H1) approval of the March 22 regular meeting minutes; (H2) adoption of a resolution suspending the effective date proposed by CenterPoint Energy Resources Corporation Texas division to increase rates under the gas reliability infrastructure program for 45 days and authorizing the city’s continued participation in the coalition known as the Alliance of CenterPoint Municipalities; (H3) approval of an interlocal agreement between the City of Buda and the Buda Economic Development Corporation for design of a water and wastewater line on FM 2770; (H4) approval of a fee waiver recommendation for rental of City Park for the wiener dog races; and (H5) adoption of a resolution amending demand response program guidelines for the city’s senior transportation STAR program. Councilmember Davison moved to approve the slate and the motion carried.

Professional services agreement (J2): Council authorized the city manager to execute a professional services agreement with Walker Partners for the design of the reuse waterline capital improvement project (CIP RWO‑2) in an amount not to exceed $380,939. Staff described the work as design and environmental/geotechnical/survey support to connect reuse water infrastructure with the Onion Creek Water Service Company arrangement; staff said this design work supports reuse water delivery to Onion Creek Country Club and other connections along Old San Antonio Road and will coordinate with related projects.
