Buda Main Street program maps design, promotions and applied grants as downtown activity grows

Staff reported 825,000 visitors spending more than 30 minutes in downtown in 2024, 3,680 volunteer hours and $63,000 in direct event revenue tied to downtown activations.
Main Street staff also described program achievements: a completed wayfinding design (manufacturing and installation to follow), a new crosswalk at the welcome center, expanded co‑marketing grant uptake, monthly business meetups with rising participation and a 50% increase in business participation in Sip & Stroll events.
Ending: Main Street staff said it will return to council for a joint meeting with the Main Street advisory board to review transformational strategies and priorities; staff also noted grant opportunities and the design assistance queue for businesses seeking facade or streetscape help.
