The University Park City Council approved an amendment to the FY2025 pay plan at its Jan. 21 meeting to include two pay items for the city’s newly promoted emergency communications supervisor: shift differential pay and a certification pay for T. Cole.
Human Resources Director Talia Gregory explained the omission and the requested fix: “With the FY 2025 pay ordinance, there was the addition of a emergency communication supervisor. That position was also to coop to include, shift differential pay. And T. Cole's certification pay. Those 2 items were left off of the appendix. They were signed with the ordinance. And I am here today to ask for an amendment to the budget so that we can include those 2 things for the recent, supervisor that was promoted internally,” Gregory said.
Council members moved and seconded the item and the council approved the amendment by voice vote; the meeting record shows affirmative votes from council members during the roll call. The amendment does not specify dollar amounts in the transcript; Gregory asked the council to amend the budget to reflect the compensation items that were approved with the original ordinance.
