City awards Redfield Street resurfacing contract to low bidder Wagner Paving

Bids opened on April 9 and staff reported the following results in their packet: NERA Paving — $177,091.11; Lattice Paving (Wagner Paving in transcript appears as lowest bid) — $158,111; John R. Jurgensen — $227,305.22. Staff said all three bids met the specifications and recommended awarding the project to the lowest and best bidder for the City of Brookville.
Council discussed funding and confirmed the local match for the resurfacing budget is included in the 2025 funds, with ARPA funds being used as the local match for a related bridge project. Council moved to accept the low bid and award the contract to Wagner Paving for $158,111; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Staff will complete contract paperwork and schedule the resurfacing work under the city's 2025 street program.
