City planning staff said the McDonald Companies revised the Landing plat to show a new road, Granger Way, providing access to adjacent property owners and replacing a private drive at the northwest corner of the site. Staff noted the plat meets the subdivision code but requires several clarifications before recording, including updating the plat file number and adding county recording references for two earlier ordinances that authorized the abandonment of Knapp Road (Ordinance 2024-10, amended by Ordinance 2024-29). Planning staff said they and Mr. Schulte have discussed sequencing of the related documents and will work to ensure the plat is recorded in the correct order.
Commissioner Abram moved to approve the plat with the conditions presented; Commissioner Kevin seconded and the commission approved the motion by raised-hand vote.
Staff said the new Granger Way will connect from Teal Court down toward the river and terminate in a hammerhead for fire-department turnaround. The plat will also document the county courthouse recording of the council ordinances that previously authorized the Knapp Road abandonment. Staff described the overall sequencing as "fairly complex" but stated they will work through the parts to get the plat recorded on approval.
