The Pearland Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0 Monday to approve the final plat for the Dixie Farm Commercial Subdivision, a four-lot commercial plat on about 9.6 acres at 3205 Dixie Farm Road, subject to a recorded maintenance agreement for shared drainage.
Planner Katie Peterson told commissioners that staff recommended approval “with the condition that the maintenance agreement for the shared drainage be recorded and identified on the plat,” saying otherwise the application met the approval criteria. Peterson said the maintenance agreement was being finalized after comments at the preliminary-plat stage.
Applicant Garrett Carter, of Hankins Development, told the commission he expected the agreement “back from the attorneys today or tomorrow” and that the team anticipated having the document recorded “by the end of this week.” Carter provided his address for the record as 419 Alamo Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Commissioners amended the initial motion to add the recording condition and then voted on the final plat; both the amendment and the plat passed unanimously, 7-0.
The approval clears the plat to move forward toward completion after the maintenance agreement is recorded and identified on the plat as required by staff. No public comment was recorded for this item during the meeting.
The city council will consider any related zoning actions at a later date if required by the council agenda schedule.
