Redmond Economic Development (REDI) reports steady pipeline and recent project completions

Curley outlined pending pipeline projects that together represent several thousand jobs and several hundred million dollars of capital investment. He identified advanced manufacturing as a leading sector for the pipeline and said several larger projects are expected to proceed in the near term, with one announcement anticipated imminently.
Committee members asked about vacancy and absorption trends; REDI noted that larger spaces are being absorbed while smaller flex spaces are slower to move and that vacancy remained low compared with broader market averages.
REDI's budget is largely funded by public contributions (city and county) and event/private investment, and the organization emphasized stewardship of funds and event-driven revenues as part of its business model.
