Council approves consent agenda, two airport items, a social gaming license and two committee appointments

Captain Jesse Peterson of the Redmond Police Department told council the applicant had undergone the required local background check, criminal-history check and fingerprinting; "they've met all those needs, and we agree that we've approved the police department's portion of the social gaming license application," he said. The applicant named in the packet is Tanner Robertson.
Airport Quick Turnaround Facility task order: Zach Bass, Redmond Airport director, returned a task order to council for Task Order No. 10 to city contract 2020-59 with Morrison-Maierle, Inc., for engineering, redesign and construction-administration services for the airport Quick Turnaround Facility (QTA) in an amount not to exceed $516,196. Bass said about $200,000 of that amount would finish design and update the traffic-impact analysis and roughly $300,000 would cover construction-administration services; the project’s capital portion will be funded through customer facility charges (CFCs) and the car rental agencies will fund the operational piece. Council approved the task order by voice vote.
Appointments: Council approved two appointments — Bob Burnett to the Budget Committee and Shauna Hicks to the Parks Committee, both terms through Dec. 31, 2026 — by voice vote.
