Jared Hogue, president of Clatsop Community College, and Mary Jackson, the college’s CTE director, attended the meeting. Jackson described the college’s Carl Perkins consortium with seven partner high schools and noted programs including natural resources, construction, fisheries, agriculture and business dual‑credit pathways that align with the college’s short‑term certificates and career pathways.
Councilors and staff thanked the college representatives and highlighted the role of community college CTE programs in workforce development. The item was ceremonial and no action beyond the proclamation was required.
