Board approves recording and purchase of small easement for Hilltop Well Field

The Greene County Board of Commissioners voted May 15 to accept and record an additional easement from property owners for the Hilltop Well Field and authorized payment of $2,000 to secure the parcel.
County staff said the additional strip of property had been omitted from the original drawings and is needed to protect the raw waterline that runs along Hilltop Road. During the presentation staff showed a map and identified the parcel as a small gray area at the end of Hilltop Road that was not captured in the original easement.
The board approved a motion to accept and record the easement and to approve the easement agreement, including the $2,000 payment. Commissioners voted in favor by voice vote.
Staff said the easement completes the needed land rights for the Hilltop Well Field project; no additional budget changes were discussed on the record.
