Committee approves additional $350 for Metler/Mettler sign; members flag multiple sign visibility problems and incorrect website text

Committee members also reviewed other signage concerns: a request to replace a flat sign at Memorial Forest with a V-shaped sign so travelers from both directions can see it; moving or angling the Hageman House sign to improve visibility from South Middlebush and correcting an incorrect website address currently displayed on the Hageman House sign; and replacing or repairing a deteriorated fence at a park entrance. Staff said they would follow up with DPW to determine whether signs could be made double-sided, reoriented, or rebuilt, and to check on the fence repairs.
The committee recorded the approvals and directed staff to coordinate with public works on signage adjustments and with the sign vendor to finalize the Mettler sign payment and placement.
