The Borough of Ramsey introduced Ordinance 11‑2025 on Wednesday to amend Chapter 7 (parking) by prohibiting street parking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. between May 15 and Sept. 15 in three locations: Shadyside Road from Darlington Avenue to Drum Court; both sides of Drum Court; and Darlington Avenue from Ridge Road (or the Mahwah/Ramsey border) to Alita Place.

Borough Administrator Vose told the council that the ordinance responds to increased parking by patrons of Darlington Park that has caused congestion and issues for residents. The ordinance would make those restrictions seasonal for the summer park season.

Councilwoman Sarah Fisher Poppe introduced the ordinance for first reading; the council seconded the motion and approved it on first reading by roll call. The borough clerk will publish the ordinance and notice of its final hearing per legal requirements.
