At its March 6, 2025 meeting the Livingston Parish Planning Commission took the following recorded actions:
- Adoption of minutes (agenda item 5): Motion to adopt the minutes from the regular meeting dated Feb. 6, 2025; outcome recorded as approved.
- McDonald’s preliminary plat (agenda items 6–7): Motion to accept the preliminary plat/site plan for McDonald’s in the Juba Crossing area; outcome: approved. Engineering staff reported comments were addressed; project must conform to the Juba Crossing drainage plan.
- Demco substation (agenda item 8): The preliminary site plan was held as an informational public hearing and, following public comment and staff requests for additional studies and legal clarity on zoning applicability, the commission voted to table the item and scheduled a special meeting for March 20 to continue consideration.
- AT&T monopole (agenda item 9): Commissioners voted to forward the AT&T tower waiver request to the parish council for review once the planning department has received required materials, including signed letters of no objection from affected property owners and DOTD access documentation; the commission itself did not grant the waiver.
Notes: For items that were informational (Demco) or that require council waivers (AT&T), planning staff requested additional technical and procedural documentation before final approval or council action.
