Lexington County Council on May 13 approved a slate of reappointments and nominations to boards and commissions, including the Midlands Workforce Development Board, the Central Midlands Development Corporation and council representation to the regional council of governments.
Nominations and reappointments recorded on the public record included the renomination of John Carrick for council representation to the Council of Governments; reappointments to the Midlands Workforce Development Board for Philip Austin, Reggie Murphy, Cecilia Kuznick, Jamie Turner and Luis Gamara Mendoza; and the reappointment of Lynn Rucker. Council also moved to appoint Marietta Hunter to the Central Midlands Development Corporation. Each nomination was seconded and the clerk recorded affirmative roll‑call votes from council members present.
Council members cast recorded “Yes” votes during each roll call for the items as they were presented; no recorded “No” votes or abstentions appeared in the public record for the reappointments at the May 13 meeting.
