Council approves appointment of Jake Bandis as assistant city attorney; consent agenda items approved

During the consent discussion, staff introduced Jake Bandis, who the presenter said holds a law degree from the University of Utah, additional degrees from Texas A&M, is licensed in Texas, and recently returned to the area after working with the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Hearings and Appeals. The presenter said Bandis graduated from Belton High School and has family in the area. Bandis was present at the meeting.
A council member moved to approve the consent agenda items 5(a)–5(r) less item 5(l); the motion passed 4–0. The council then approved the appointment as part of the consent agenda.
