The City Council voted 4-0 to postpone indefinitely a public hearing and any action on a proposed resolution of support for a regional housing collaboration led by Village Communities of Texas in partnership with the Cesar Chavez Foundation to acquire, rehabilitate and operate the Village of Meadow Bridal at 2787 S. Martin Luther King Drive.
City staff read the public‑hearing notice into the record and said the item would be postponed pending more information and further discussion with council and the housing organization. No members of the public stepped forward to speak on the agenda item during the meeting. Council member Pilkington moved to postpone Item 4; Mayor Pro Tim Walker seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
Staff said the item had been discussed at a prior workshop with the Cesar Chavez Foundation team and that council requested additional detail before taking formal action on any cooperation agreement or resolution of support.
