The annexed area includes the parcel described as a 479.25-acre tract out of Survey 279 and associated county rights-of-way along Bob Yoker Street (from Rio Hondo Road to Woodall Avenue), a segment of Woodall Avenue and an unnamed county right-of-way along the east side of the subject property. City staff said the annexation binds the land to the city's acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations and is for full-purpose municipal governance.
No members of the public offered testimony for or against the annexation during the public hearing. Commissioners moved, seconded and adopted the ordinance on second and final reading by voice vote.
The annexation becomes effective immediately upon adoption; city staff will proceed with planning, utility and regulatory integration for the newly annexed area and follow-up with residents and stakeholders as necessary.
