Gage County to proceed with Davis Design for jail consultant work; committee to finalize contract negotiations

The Gage County Board of Supervisors received multiple proposals in response to a request for proposals (RFP) for jail consultant services and voted on May 14 to receive all submissions and proceed with negotiations with Davis Design, subject to contract terms and committee recommendation.
Supervisor Lytle, who chaired the jail committee, said the committee reviewed all submissions and recommended Davis Design as the most responsive. The board’s motion—"receive all RFPs with intent to award to Davis pending contract negotiation"—was moved by Lytle and seconded by Supervisor Haxby; county counsel confirmed that award language is appropriate pending negotiations.
Supervisors voted 5-0 on the combined action to receive the proposals and authorize negotiations with Davis Design. County staff said final award and execution will follow successful contract negotiations and committee presentation of recommended contract terms.
What’s next: The jail committee will negotiate contract terms with Davis Design and return a recommendation to the full board for final award and contract execution.
