Supervisor Miss Haxby presented the request and urged support; she said the requested total is less than last year’s tax asking and that Region 5 had recently removed Lancaster County from consideration for an executive-board position to resolve inter-county concerns.
Board members discussed past budgets and whether counties should be asked to match additional contributions. Haxby said each county’s financial situation differs and that any extra funding should be an individual decision. The motion to approve the $50,073 payment carried on the board vote recorded in the meeting.
No further action was taken; the funds were recorded in the county’s finance report.
