Mike Powder, representing Main Street, told the joint session the city and county should consider code reforms and innovative approaches to increase housing supply and options. “I think we need some bifurcations and instruction is housing solutions as well as digging outside the box,” Powder said.
Commissioners did not take action on the comment; staff indicated broader housing and code questions will be part of ongoing planning work tied to the technical memos and future agenda items.
