At the meeting the BAR took several procedural votes and motions.
Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes from the April 2 meeting was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; there was no substantive change to the minutes.
Consent calendar: The board considered one consent calendar item, BAR 20 20 5‑570 (Old & Historic District) — a request for waiver of rooftop HVAC screening requirement and alterations at 611 King Street; the applicant on record was Aquino Old Town represented by architect Benjamin Keeney. No members removed the item from consent; the consent calendar was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote.
Deferrals: The board approved the applicant’s requested deferral for the 1201 East Abingdon Drive docket items (PF3 Abingdon LLC) after discussion (see separate article). The board also approved a requested deferral for BR2025‑551, 224 North Fayette Street (applicant Harold Smith), which staff said was requested because the applicant had a health issue and adequate notice could not be provided.
Ending: All votes reported were voice votes; where recorded the board used standard motions and seconding procedure. No contested final approvals were taken on project merits at this meeting.
