The commission reviewed construction sureties and authorized the planning commission chair to sign contracts associated with several letters of credit for local developments.
Linden Smith, planning staff member, presented the sureties: Stonegate developers hold a letter of credit for $656,325.82 and sought construction-contract approval; High Cliff Properties was renewing a letter of credit in the amount of $863,516; and Hunt Farm Section 7 presented a letter of credit for the amount listed as "357, 3 hundred and 5 thousand" in the staff summary. Smith asked the commission to authorize the chair to sign construction contracts related to those sureties. The chair and commission members discussed an updated agenda table and confirmed the table will reflect phase-1 total estimate wording in the contract language to avoid confusion.
A commissioner moved to accept the changes and to authorize the chair to sign the construction contracts; the commission approved the motion by voice vote. Commissioners requested that the contract paragraph list the phase-1 total estimate (the full amount of required improvements) rather than only percentages, and staff confirmed the chart and contract language will be updated for clarity.
