Commission adopts revisions and a new policy for police department chapters
Summary
The commission approved revisions to Section 2, Chapter 7 and Section 2, Chapter 40 and adopted a new policy (Section 2, Chapter 48) for the police department after staff and the city attorney reviewed the documents.
Scott (city attorney) told the commission the police department forwarded several policy updates for legal and grammatical review and that the policies were acceptable as presented. The requested action covered changes to Section 2, Chapter 7 and Section 2, Chapter 40 and adoption of a new policy, Section 2, Chapter 48.
Commissioner Bush moved to approve the changes and Commissioner Powell seconded. The commission voted unanimously to adopt the revisions and the new policy.
Scott said the revised and new policy documents had been reviewed for legal and grammatical issues and were acceptable for adoption.
