Separately, the committee voted to request that the New York State Legislature and governor designate the bridge over Interstate 87 at Exit 14 on state Route 9P as the Assemblyman Bobby D'Andrea Memorial Bridge. Meeting materials noted the legislature normally approves these types of name changes only for deceased individuals and that a similar request was made in 2015.
