The Saratoga County Public Safety Committee on May 7 authorized conveyance of a permanent easement to Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. and Verizon New York Inc. to allow access to and maintenance of electric and communications facilities on county property at 6010–6012 County Farm Road in the Town of Milton.
Supervisor C presented the item and said the arrangement is for a proposed Verizon communications tower behind the county’s public safety building. Supervisor C stated, “It’s gonna be $18,000 a year because it’s a sublease, and they’re gonna own the tower. So if it’s a colocation on our tower, it’s $30,000.” Committee members moved and seconded the resolution; the motion carried.
The meeting record does not include a detailed lease or sublease agreement, a start date, or other commercial terms beyond the annual payment amounts described in the discussion.
