County staff noted a statutory or ordinance cap that limits increases to a maximum of $52 over a 10-year period; the current rate remains below that threshold.
During the public hearing Anita Crittendon of Greenhead, Florida, asked where the public hearing had been advertised; staff said the notice appeared in the newspaper. After closing the hearing, the board moved to adopt the final rate resolution and the motion passed by voice vote.
