The Stratford Ordinance Committee unanimously voted Jan. 27 to refer Ordinance 24‑17, an amendment to Chapter 48 of the Town of Stratford Code, to the full Town Council with a favorable recommendation and to approve the committee minutes from its June 17, 2024, regular meeting.
Mister Aurelian, Ordinance Committee member, moved to approve Ordinance 24‑17 (Chapter 48), saying, “I move to approve item 3.1.” Mister O'Neil, Ordinance Committee member, seconded the motion. The committee chair called for discussion; hearing none, members voted aye and the chair recorded the motion as carried unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Mister O'Connor, Ordinance Committee member, moved to approve the minutes from the committee’s June 17, 2024, regular meeting; Mister O'Neil seconded. The motion carried unanimously after the committee recorded ayes and the chair voted in the affirmative.
The short meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:02 p.m. After the ordinance vote a motion to adjourn by Mister Glenn, Ordinance Committee member, was seconded by Mister O'Neil and carried unanimously.
No substantive discussion of Ordinance 24‑17 or edits to the June 17 minutes is recorded in the committee transcript; each motion passed on unanimous voice vote and the committee forwarded the ordinance to the Town Council for final consideration.
