The Inland Wetlands Commission for the Town of Stratford elected Eddie Cinto chair and Joe Kiripski vice chair for 2025 during an organizational meeting required by the commission bylaws.
Kelly Kerrigan, environmental conservation superintendent for the Town of Stratford and staff liaison to the commission, opened the organizational meeting and called for nominations. A commissioner moved to elect Eddie Cinto as chair; Dr. Chess seconded the motion and commissioners voted in favor. Later the commission nominated Joe Kiripski for vice chair; the motion was seconded by Dr. Chess and approved.
The organizational meeting is the annual, procedural step the commission takes before addressing substantive items. Kerrigan noted the meeting requirement is part of the commission bylaws; the vote establishes who will preside over hearings and regular meeting business in 2025.
No policy changes or land-use decisions were made during the organizational session; those matters were taken up later in the same meeting.
