Sachse — The Sachse City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda on Feb. 17, adopting meeting minutes, canceling a March meeting and authorizing park lighting expenditures.
The consent agenda included three items: approval of the Feb. 3, 2025, meeting minutes; cancellation of the March 17, 2025, council meeting because of Wiley ISD and Garland ISD spring breaks; and use of park development funds for LED lighting at Sandman Park for an amount not to exceed $40,722.
Councilmember Howarth moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilmember Pressenberg seconded. The mayor called for the vote and announced, “Motion carries unanimously.” The council did not remove any items from the consent agenda during the meeting.
The LED lighting authorization was presented as an expenditure from park development funds; the staff report included the not-to-exceed amount but no additional financing details were discussed during the motion.
