The council voted to adopt an ordinance restricting heavy truck traffic from deviating off Main Street and Highway 1869 onto downtown side streets (Ordinance No. 2025-0015, version 5). The ordinance had been discussed at a prior workshop; the motion passed on a unanimous recorded roll call of votes as read aloud in the meeting (recorded as “All in favor? 5 0” at the time the motion was closed).
The council also amended the downtown parking rules to allow a loading zone on Main Street (Ordinance No. 2025-0014). That ordinance was approved (recorded vote: 6–0).
