Mister Michaud, staff member, described the work as an upgrade to “the brains of the HVAC system” and said staff previously completed a one-room repair earlier this year. He told the committee the contract was procured through a competitive process that used estimated labor-hour benchmarks because the precise scope was not fully known at bid time.
A motion to approve the resolution was moved and adopted by voice vote with no recorded opposition. Committee members asked no further detailed questions during the item. No statute, ordinance, or external funding source was cited during the discussion.
