The commission declared two properties—143 Bices Run Road and 711 Bices Run Road in Enterprise—as emergency nuisances under the International Property Maintenance Code to allow abatement measures to commence. Commissioners also accepted an $8,500 award from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture for the statewide spay-and-neuter assistance program with a $2,125 county match to be used by animal-control services.
The commission approved establishing a clearing account tied to the general fund to accept online permit payments (GovWell) and fixed the appropriate signatures to implement that process. The board also approved travel for three 911 employees to attend a regional supervisor program in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Other routine approvals included payroll-change notices, exonerations and claims. Most items were approved by voice vote with no substantive debate recorded during the meeting.
