Mon Health announces imminent groundbreaking for new Bridgeport hospital

He thanked the commission, the city of Bridgeport and local bond partners for their assistance and said Genesis Partners and bondholders helped clear land and financing issues. Goldberg said a public groundbreaking ceremony is expected in the coming weeks.

Goldberg framed the project as similar to other local facilities and said the hospital campus has land for future growth as community needs evolve. He asked for continued local support and indicated coordination with the city for a future public appearance.
