The Asbury Park Zoning Board of Adjustment on March 25 voted to carry the application for 301 Eighth Avenue, Unit 3 (Block 4301, Lot 6.03) to its May 13, 2025 meeting without further public notice so the board can hear the matter with a full complement of members and resolve one outstanding legal question.
Board members confirmed the applicant had been noticed properly for the current meeting and that the board has jurisdiction to grant a continuance without additional public notice. Members said the request for a carry was to ensure the full board could consider an unresolved legal issue; the board recorded that it would hear the application on May 13.
On roll call for the continuance, Jill Potter, Tim Slick, Russell Lewis and Vice Chair John Scully voted in favor of carrying the application to May 13. The board clerk noted the continuance would be without further notice to the applicant.
No substantive testimony on the merits of the Eighth Avenue application was recorded at the March 25 session; the board deferred those matters until the May 13 hearing.
