Town planning staff told the Stratford Planning Commission on April 15 that the Greenway and Complete Streets project remains on track after receiving comments from the Connecticut Department of Transportation on 60% design drawings.
"We received comments from DOT on the 60% design drawings that we submitted to them," Susmitha said. Staff said they were reviewing DOT's feedback internally and planned to refine their response and revise drawings where appropriate, with a target to finalize comments the following week.
Staff also said a scoping meeting for Greenway Phase 3 was held with DOT's consultant and that the town will enter a contract with consultant WSB once the project scope is drafted. No major alignment changes were reported; staff described the DOT comments as not requiring a redesign of the route.
The commission did not take action; the update was informational. The next Planning Commission meeting was announced for May 20.
