Smitha Otata, Planning and Zoning Administrator, said the addition is sited behind the house and meets the town’s ADU requirements. The commission approved the request with the condition that all requirements and conditions in Section 4.4.0.2(e) (the town’s ADU guidelines) be strictly followed.
The motion to approve the accessory dwelling unit was seconded and recorded as approved during the administrative session; the commission directed staff to note the condition in the decision letter and ensure compliance during permit review.
