Parent urges district to limit restroom use to biological sex during public comment

McGee later said she objects to what she described as the district's "affirmation" of gender identity, and she suggested offering a unisex bathroom as an accommodation for students who struggle with gender identity.
McGee also referenced testimony she said was given to Congress by child psychiatrist Miriam Grossman and asserted that several countries had placed limitations on gender-affirming medical treatments. The board did not engage in dialogue during the public comment period; a board member responded only with, "Thank you for sharing your opinion." No board policy change or formal action was taken during the meeting in response to McGee's remarks.
McGee concluded by thanking the board for listening.
