Lyman Hall student representative previews prom, exams and spring sports

Maggie Horso, the student representative from Lyman Hall High School, presented the student report at the Wallingford Board of Education’s April 24 special meeting, summarizing senior events, testing dates and spring athletics results.
Horso said the junior class has been preparing for prom sales and junior prom is scheduled for May 9; senior prom events and senior activities were listed for late May. She reported 35 varsity scholars recently announced and invited the board to the varsity awards ceremony on May 21. She also said NGSS science testing is scheduled for April 30 and agricultural department spring plant sales will run May 1–29.
On athletics, Horso gave win‑loss records she reported for spring teams: baseball 8–1, softball 6–3, boys outdoor track undefeated, boys golf 9–1, boys tennis 9–2, girls tennis 4–4, boys cross country 2–5 with noted improvement and girls cross country 6–2. She closed by congratulating student athletes and noting several students joining from junior high.
Horso’s report was presented during the student representative segment and required no board action.
