The Palos Community Consolidated School District 118 Board of Education on April 21 ratified the official results of the April school board election, administered oaths to newly elected members and elected officers for the coming term.
The board moved to “adopt and ratify the official results” of the April election as performed by the Cook County Clerk and declared Susan Safransky, Jennifer Jensen, Dr. Timothy Baker and Kevin Quinn elected to four-year terms on the Palos CCSD 118 Board of Education. The board then administered oaths to the newly seated members.
The meeting proceeded to elect officers for the board’s organizational year. Pamela Paris was nominated and elected board president; Michael Pizer was nominated and elected vice president; and Susan Safransky was nominated and elected secretary. The board made a motion to appoint Dr. Timothy Baker as temporary chairperson to oversee oath administration during the organizational portion of the meeting.
The board approved the 2025–26 Board of Education meeting schedule as presented and affirmed its commitment to the board member code of conduct and school board governance commitments.
