Jacobs High music boosters seek district help to soundproof practice rooms

She said the work will require modifying an existing window and replacing frames and doors. Dubiel said she has been coordinating with Jacobs staff—Matthew Bennett and Steven Budnick—and that LAMP Construction visited the school and is expected to provide a quote within two weeks. District facilities staff member John Mickel planned to inspect the site the day after the meeting to determine whether the district’s facilities department could complete the installation or whether outside contractors are needed.
Dubiel asked for district assistance in estimating installation costs and timing; she said the boosters hope to complete the work within the next school year. The board did not take formal action at the meeting; staff indicated they would follow up with the boosters and provide an update.
