He said 2024 real estate sales in the county totaled about $165.9 million, the county’s second-highest annual total and about $36 million above the 10‑year average. May and June were the strongest months, averaging about $20 million each.
Brian also reviewed liens and collections: county lien totals rose to $583,538 in 2024 from $397,000 in 2023. Collections on liens were $81,867 in 2024 compared with $29,000 in 2023; the register noted that many liens represent services the county is required to provide (medical, burials, court‑appointed counsel) that are not always repaid by the recipient.
