The Yankton County Commission approved a $26,026.73 bid to upgrade audio-visual and teleconferencing in Courtroom C, with the Unified Judicial System (UJS) agreeing to reimburse $10,000 toward the project.
Circuit administrators and county staff described Courtroom C as the county’s oldest audio setup and said the upgrade will improve remote translation and teleconference handling for hearings. The installation will include a new mixer and a VoIP/teleconferencing system. The vendor for the work was identified as AVI, the same contractor that installed audio and visual equipment in Courtrooms A and B, county staff said.
