LINCOLN COUNTY, S.D. — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved a temporary on-sale liquor license May 6 for Good Earth Farm Animal Sanctuary to sell alcohol at three outdoor fundraising events in 2025.
Nancy Kerstein, identified herself as the executive director of Good Earth Farm Animal Sanctuary at 28318 460 Sixth Avenue, Lenox, South Dakota. Kerstein told the board the license would allow the sanctuary to hold fundraisers on June 7, July 4 and Aug. 16, 2025.
There were no opponents during the public hearing and one commissioner encouraged others to visit the sanctuary. The board approved the license by roll call vote. Commissioner Arons, Commissioner Otten, Commissioner Schmidt, Commissioner Putnam and Commissioner Landy voted yes.
