Commissioners approve malt-beverage permit, road materials purchase

Both items were presented during the board's regular meeting. John Van de Hoof, identified as the president of the Alliance Baseball Softball Association, told commissioners the association would run beverage sales to help Ducks Unlimited's fundraiser because the organization was short on volunteers. After asking for public input and hearing none, the board voted to approve the temporary license.
Highway Superintendent Terry Floyd told the board the stabilizing agent purchase would come via a Harding County contract and that the county would likely need about 11 totes for the County Road 134 project. Commissioners moved and seconded the purchase and approved it by roll call.
